Equalinrights
Established in 2007, Equalinrights aims to advance the understanding and use of human-rights based strategies in the global struggle against poverty, marginalization and exclusion. Equalinrights’ role, task and financial basis will change in the future.
- Development of business plan and financing strategy
In order to ensure maximum added value and effective and efficient service delivery, the organization intends to develop a new business plan and financial strategy. Theo van Koolwijk supports Equalinrights in this process of strategic reorientation.
Fairfood International
Fairfood International encourages sustainability in the food industry, contributing to the fight against poverty and hunger around the world. Fairfood is in contact with more than 1300 companies in over 60 countries worldwide.
PSC, the Programme for South-South Cooperation
The PSC is a political, administrative and financial framework to develop South-South cooperation. The origin of the program lies in the strategic partnership on sustainable development between Bhutan, Costa Rica, Benin and the Netherlands. In the previous two years, the PSC-mechanism has supported over 35 collaborative projects in areas like sustainable tourism, energy, gender, biodiversity and sustainable production. The PSC secretariat is hosted at Fundecooperacion in Costa Rica.
- Development of new fundraising profile
PSC has invited a consortium of three organizations, Europe External Policy Advisors (EEPA), Ampersand Global and Warner Strategy & Fundraising to assist in developing a new profile, communication strategy and to increase visibility and business opportunities.
Netherlands Helsinki Comittee
The Netherlands Helsinki Committee was founded in 1987 to promote security, human rights and democracy in the OSCE region. NHC supports, among other things, projects in the Eastern European region and organizes events in the Netherlands.
Jewish Historical Museum
The Jewish Historical Museum is responsible for the design of the public spaces of the monumental Portuguese Synagogue. The buildings of the Portuguese are being restored and after completion the Synagogue will be managed by the museum.
- Fundraising
The museum asked Warner to develop a strategy and a fundraising- plan for the new design.
On behalf of Warner Ralph Levie composed an appealing summary of the different spaces and the associated costs. Part of the strategy is the option that either the whole plan or any of the separate parts can be presented to potential donors.
Matchmaker Associates
Matchmaker Associates, a consultancy firm in Tanzania, asked Warner to support the establishment of a new Fund, Matchmaker Fund, which aims to support medium-sized enterprises and smallholders in South-East Africa. Experience and analyses show an enormous economic potential which is left unused. Lack of appropriate financing stops growth and maintains poverty. The new Fund aims to break through this vicious circle with creative and innovative solutions.
- Start-up and promotion of new Fund
Ralph Levie and Floor Timmerman developed a promotional leaflet about the new Fund and approached relevant organizations and individuals in the Netherlands for advice, support and investments. Meetings with the initiators were arranged during their two-week visit.
Coalitie Erbij
Research reveals that 30% of the adult Dutch population has feelings of loneliness, while 10% is strongly lonesome. Fourteen well-known Dutch organisations in the field of healthcare and welfare, including the Red Cross and the Salvation Army, have joined forces in a coalition, called Coalitie Erbij ("include"). The coalition wants to raise awareness and stimulate people to do something about their, or other people's loneliness. The coalition has initiated a public campaign, a platform, research and advocacy.
- Organisation of the Week against Loneliness
In 2010 Warner supports the Bureau of Coalitie Erbij in organizing a National Week against loneliness. Furthermore, Warner consults on fundraising and on organizational strategy and development.
Aim for Human Rights
Aim for human rights supports organisations which fight for human rights all over the world. Local organisations are often the first to notice that human rights are violated and start to act. Aim for human rights helps them through training and capacity enhancement. This enables their partner organisations to do more for the human rights in their community.
- Evaluation
Pippa Groenenberg and Theo van Koolwijk of Warner Strategy & Fundraising conducted an evaluation of the Linking, Learning, Action project, which is working on the theme of enforced disappearances. This evaluation considered the results, relevance and sustainability of the project.
WNF
The World Wildlife Fund (Wereld Natuur Fonds) is active in nature conservation around the globe. WWF's mission is to stop the degradation of our planet's natural environment, and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. The aim of the Linking Futures program is to strengthen local organizations that promote the sustainable use of the environment so local populations benefit. For example trough sustainably beekeeping, eco tourism and forestry by local communities.
- Evaluation
Pippa Groenenberg and Bart Romijn of Warner Strategy & Fundraising evaluated the Linking Futures program. Additional to the evaluation a toolkit around Nature and Poverty will be developed.
Tropical Commodity Coalition
The Tropical Commodity Coalition (TCC) is a cooperation of 10 Dutch NGOs and two trade unions. The Coalition cooperates with NGOs and trade unions in coffee, tea and cocoa producing countries to improve the social, environmental and economic conditions at the beginning of these value chains.
- Evaluation
Jostein van Vliet of Warner Strategy & Fundraising and Mark van Dorp of DUVILLA are carrying out an evaluation of the coalition. Focus points of this evaluation are the results of the last three years and the added value to internal and external stakeholders.

- Fundraising advise
Ralph Levie advised the organisation for Jewish schools in Amsterdam to raise additional funds for elements that are closely linked to the specific character of the schools. Warner prepared several fundraising applications.
Future For Nature
Future for Nature Foundation works to conserve nature by protecting species of wild animals and plants. The hope of conserving nature lies with outstanding young conservationists who have demonstrated their ability to succeed. The Foundation supports this young talent through its annual Future for Nature Award.
Biodiversity Fund
The ten year anniversary of the Hivos-Oxfam Novib Biodiversity Fund was used as an opportunity to share lessons learned. Hivos, Oxfam Novib, IUCN Netherlands and NatureandPoverty.net organized an international expert meeting on March 18th to discuss strategies and opportunities around agrobiodiversity.
Hivos
With an annual budget of approximately 100 million Euro, Hivos is one of the four large Dutch development organizations. Hivos has three main policy areas, one of which is the program on Sustainable Economic Development (SED).
- Context analyses and funding application MFS-II
Theo van Koolwijk supports Hivos in the development of a business plan for the SED-program, in context analyses and in submitting a funding application to the Dutch Ministry of Development Cooperation in the MFS II round.
KiesKompas
People are confronted with increasingly complex choices in life. Kieskompas BV helps people make better choices. Based on scientifically approved methods, Kieskompas develops web applications in order to make choices more simple and transparent, both to voters and consumers. Most famous for its online application around national and municipal elections, Kieskompas has also developed applications for choices around health, labour, nutrition and religion.
- Executive Director ad interim
As its general director, Bart Romijn is in charge of the business aspects of Kieskompas, including its positioning, organizational strengthening and generation of revenues.
Cordaid
Cordaid is one of the largest Development Organizations in the Netherlands. Cordaid takes the lead in an alliance of Dutch NGO's in writing a grant proposal to the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs MFS II funding round. The prospected grant will run for five years.
AIDS Foundation East West
AIDS Foundation East West (AFEW) works in Eastern Europe and Central Asia to reduce the impact of HIV and AIDS. AFEW is active in eight countries and has regional offices in Moscos, Almaty and Kiev. AFEW focuses on working with vulnerable groups such as prisoners and people using drugs.

Solidaridad
Solidaridad is an international organization working on fair and sustainable production and trade of coffee, cotton, biomass and gold and other resources. In producing countries Solidaridad supports farmers and producers to improve the quality and volume of sustainable production. In the Netherlands Solidaridad stimulates sales of sustainable goods. Solidaridad has considerable attention for financial continuity as it is looking to expand its network in producing countries.
- Fundraising for institutional donors
Bart Romijn and Ralph Levie support Solidaridad in their search for new institutional donors to support their growth and they are conducting a global scan of potential donors.
B. Folkertsma Stichting voor Talmudica
The Folkertsma Foundation propagates Jewish wisdom to a broad audience to contribute to dealing with major questions in society.
- Strategy Development and Fundraising
Ralph Levie supports the Board and Director in developing a Strategic Plan 2010-2015. In close dialogue with the constituencies of the organization mission, vision, objectives and activities of the Foundation are re-evaluated. Based on this re-evaluation a fundraising strategy is developend and prospective targets for financing are identified.
Eerste openluchtschool voor het gezonde kind
The ' First open-air school for the healthy child' is housed in a monument designed by the famous architect Jan Duiker. The building is an icon of the architectural school of 'Het Nieuwe Bouwen' in the beginning of the 20th century. Restoration and adaptation of the building is urgent.
Yente
Yente connects female entrepreneurs from the Global South with entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. Yente is a matchmaker, organizes trade missions and has an online community where female entrepreneurs can communicate with each other.
